SUMMERTIME Healthy Tips

Hello everyone! Today, Premier IV Hydration and Wellness Practitioners wanted to talk about some healthy tips for staying safe and healthy during the summer.

As the weather gets warmer, it's important to be mindful of your health. Here are a few tips to help you stay healthy all summer long:

  • Drink plenty of water. This is especially important if you're spending time outdoors in the heat. Aim to drink eight glasses of water per day, or more if you're sweating a lot.

  • Wear sunscreen. Sunscreen is essential for protecting your skin from the sun's harmful rays. Apply sunscreen liberally to all exposed skin, and reapply every two hours, or more often if you're sweating or swimming.

  • Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet is important for your overall health, but it's especially important during the summer when you're more likely to be active and exposed to the sun. Make sure to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.

  • Get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for your physical and mental health. Aim for eight hours of sleep per night.

  • Stay active. Exercise is a great way to stay healthy and fit. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.

  • Take breaks from the sun. If you're spending a lot of time outdoors, be sure to take breaks from the sun every 20-30 minutes to cool off and hydrate.

  • Be aware of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are serious medical conditions that can occur if you're not careful. If you experience any of the following symptoms, seek medical attention immediately:

    • Dizziness

    • Headache

    • Nausea

    • Vomiting

    • Muscle cramps

    • Rapid heart rate

    • Confusion

    • Fainting

Here are some additional tips that you might find helpful:

  • Avoid alcohol and sugary drinks. Alcohol and sugary drinks can dehydrate you, so it's best to avoid them during the summer.

  • Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing. Light-colored, loose-fitting clothing will help you stay cool and comfortable in the heat.

  • Use a hat and sunglasses. A hat and sunglasses will help protect your face and eyes from the sun's harmful rays.

  • Take a cool shower or bath. If you're feeling hot and uncomfortable, take a cool shower or bath to help cool down.

  • Spend time in the shade. If you're going to be spending time outdoors, try to find shade whenever possible.

  • Be aware of the weather forecast. Check the weather forecast before you head outdoors so you can dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

Lastly, if you need IV nutrient hydration, we are here for you to keep you going!

We hope these tips help you stay healthy and safe all summer long.
